A 7-year-old girl discovers her daddy crying. Confused, she decides he needs a band-aid, a cure for all ills. This leads her on a quest for a band-aid. With one in hand, she rushes home and gives it to him. He tries to explain some pains run too deep. Though hard to understand, the girl decides to spend time with her daddy, laughing and playing. And she gives him hugs, helping to be his band-aid. long summary: Band-aids cure all, at least that’s how kids view them. After a seven-year-old girl discovers her daddy crying alone in his room, she searches for a band-aid to help him stop crying. A kind neighbor gives her a band-aid and she rushes home to give it to her daddy. Touched, he sits her down and explains that there are some wounds that band-aids cannot reach, but tells her of a different cure. She understands that this alternative cure requires spending time with her daddy and giving him hugs, so that she can be his band-aid. Author Bio: Using his close relationship with his daughter as a basis, John Hope composed this tender-hearted tale to share his story telling passion with his children.
